Odds and ends of other projects I’ve worked on.
where are all the black creatives?
This project came as result of my frustration after taking multiple history and design classes where I felt non-white creatives were being ignored and/or overlooked. When I asked about the lack of Black Designers, Illustrators, etc. The answers were mostly the same, no one knew why or where to get the information. I was over accepting this as an answer, coupled with the fact that I, nor most of my peers, could name a black graphic designer except for Emory Douglas. So, I made a whole book to help fill that gap, its pages full of pioneer designers, professional creatives working currently, and fellow students studying in creative fields.
hey love pdx: love hangover
Who doesn’t want to drink tequila for a good cause? A set of promotional materials, and illustrations I created for Hey Love PDX, El Tesoro Tequila, and Latinx DJ crew Noche Libre’s one-night-only event! A portion of the nights sales went to Pueblo Unido PDX who provides legal services for immigrants facing deportation.
bar cecil
A one page site I worked on in collaboration with Studio Mega. The task was to bring Bar Cecils mid-century eclectic style and playful branding to life with a single-page website.
project sunflower
A set of programming deliverables I designed for Thermo Fisher Scientific. During this 6 week project I aimed to build a collection of documents that would present the dense content in a visually digestible way, in hopes to help them sign a $30 million dollar contract.
pattern play
A collection of patterns I’ve created over the years with aspirations to apply them to various textiles and physical materials. Pattern making has become a fun form of creative expression for me, after taking a pattern workshop with Jen Stady In 2019.
one finance
Working with a team at Saint Friend & Co, I created a series of digital ad assets and other various brand elements for ONE Finance’s credit builder campaign. These were to be used across various social and media channels as well as in presentations.
novella shoes
Novella an editorial footwear brand reached out to me to help develop the process for their “Unexpected Artesian” Campaign. The basis for this campaign would be partnering with a creative to produce a unique shoe drop for each season. I helped alongside other designers to better streamline this process as well as, establish various systems that in future would ensure success.
